Director Bio
Jessie Levandov is an award-winning filmmaker, visual artist, and educator based in Brooklyn. Her queer documentary series Signified was presented by the Guggenheim Lab, and her short film The Greggs won the Spirit Award at Slamdance. Her work has been featured in publications such as Teen Vogue, Huffington Post, and Them and in institutions such as Brooklyn Museum, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and the Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art in NYC. Levandov received her BFA in Film and Television Production from NYU and is the Co-Founder and CEO of Mala Forever, a next-generation radical-feminist film studio, digital magazine, and creative agency.
