Director Bio

Ahya Simone is a Detroit-based harpist, artist, and filmmaker. Recognized as a 2018 Sundance | Knight Foundation, a 2018 Kresge Artist, and 2017 Detroit Narrative Agency fellow, Simone is also creator, co-writer, and director of Femme Queen Chronicles. Simone uses film and sound to explore ideas around identity, vulnerability, and existence.
