Director Bio

Known mostly as an actor for his work in television and theatre, Matthew Risch makes his debut as writer-director with Stranger Out of You. As an out gay actor, he has appeared in such television shows as Looking, Modern Family, How to Get Away with Murder, Bonding, Younger, Switched at Birth, Gossip Girl, and the Tales of the City reboot. He also starred in Test from writer-director Chris Mason Johnson. On Broadway, Matthew starred in Other Desert Cities and Pal Joey and was featured in the original company of Legally Blonde: The Musical. He splits his time between NYC and LA.
