You are invited to apply for press credentials for the 2019 Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival (July 18 – 28).

Please note: This does not apply to red carpet/event coverage (i.e. photographers/crews do not need to apply).

Anyone requesting a press credential must be currently employed by and/or on editorial assignment for a recognized news organization that provides original news coverage on a regular basis. Non-editorial employees (CEOs, publishers, advertising, marketing, public relations or sales staff) are not eligible. **Note: If you are a freelancer, you will need to submit a letter of assignment from your editor.

Outfest reserves the right to deny or revoke a press pass at any time, for any reason.

Please provide the following:

  • Name
  • Outlet
  • Circulation and/or unique monthly visitors
  • Phone
  • Email
  • Describe your coverage interests, including any needs/plans for pre-festival coverage
  • Freelancer journalists, please provide a letter of assignment from your editor

The deadline for your request is Friday, June 28.

You will be notified of whether your request has been approved by Wednesday, July 3.

INDUSTRY INFO

The deadline to apply for industry accreditation has passed.

Accredited industry guests receive the following:

  • One Opening Night Gala general ticket (limited quantities)
  • One Closing Night Gala general ticket (limited quantities)
  • The opportunity to pre-select one (1) ticket to a total of eight (8) regular festival programs (excluding Opening and Closing Night), subject to availability and festival discretion
  • Access to all regular screenings via Stand-By Line (if space is available) with your badge
  • The opportunity to purchase additional tickets with a $4 discount with your badge
  • Priority seating (not available when attending a screening via Stand-By Line)
  • Invitations to a filmmaker-industry mixer and other selected receptions
  • Access to our Print Source Contact List
  • A crew level membership to the organization

In exchange we ask that you agree to the following:

  • Be willing to take a one-on-one general meeting with one of the filmmakers from this year’s festival lineup (we will be in touch with more details)
  • Make a $50 donation to Outfest to support our year-round programming and cover the costs of the above perks
